Tom Gegax
Former CEO, Tires Plus Stores

Tom is Co-Founder and Chairman Emeritus of the $750 million upscale retailer, Tires Plus, which he co-founded and sold to Bridgestone/Firestone in 2000. Tires Plus had mushroomed from a concept sketched on a restaurant napkin to an upscale 11-state chain of 150 retail stores. While Tom and his co-founder owned Tires Plus, they never had to solicit outside investment capital or relinquish any ownership to anybody outside of the company.

Tires Plus' vigorously healthy corporate culture was legendary for its focus on the intellectual, physical, emotional and spiritual well-being of its employees (or "teammates," as Tom prefers to call them; similarly, he refers to customers as "guests"). Countless other organizational leaders have modeled their own culture on the Tires Plus template after witnessing firsthand its invigorating effects.

  Ruby Yeh
WBN Founder & Conference Executive Producer, Wisdom Business Network

Ruby's high tech career began with sales executive and strategic marketing positions in Fortune 500 companies such as AT&T and Wang Computers. She was bitten by the entrepreneurial bug when she joined a venture-backed software start-up and grew their international division from zero to $20+ million in less than four years, and later assumed another multi-million dollar P&L role to run the European division of another software company. Most recently, Ruby was founder and president of a Silicon Valley Interactive TV community application software company. She has a BBA from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Northeastern University.

With her experience in running online communities and creating software for the non-technical mass market, her passion is to harness the power of technology to gather and mobilize people to transform the world. Her vision for the Wisdom Business Network is to convert it into a for-profit entity to become a "trusted agent portal" for the Business Cultural Creatives market, based on Harvard professor Shoshana Zuboff's seminal book, the "Support Economy" model. Ruby's goal is to establish an innovative social for-profit entity that can continue to benefit IONS by designating a percentage of WBN's profit to the non-profit IONS, and possibly offer a DPO (Direct Public Offering) to the WBN membership.
