Clark Aldrich
Virtual Leader, SimuLearn, Inc.
Clark Aldrich recently lead the international team that created SimuLearn's Virtual
Leader., a learning experience that redefined e-learning's boundaries, and the
first ever to follow the development cycle of a modern computer game. Virtual
Leader was awarded Best Online Training Product of 2003, in the American Society
of Training and Development's T&D Magazine on January 12, 2004. The development
of Virtual Leader was the subject of Clark Aldrich's book, Simulations and the
Future of Learning (2004). Aldrich was the former research director at the Gartner
Group where he was responsible for launching and building their e-learning coverage.

Mark Bucceri
Sr. Education Specialist, Centra
Mark Bucceri is a Senior Education Specialist with Centra's Education and Training
team. His expertise is in the area of instructional design, learning styles, blended
learning, and interactivity in the virtual classroom. He has been involved with
training and development for the last 14 years and has focused on e-Learning the
last four years. He also has a technical background working as a technical support
engineer, technical trainer, and computer programmer. |

Kevin Corti
Managing Director and Head of eLearning, PIXELearning Limited
Kevin Corti co-founded the UK-based PIXELearning, a games-based eLearning tools
developer, in 2002. Kevin is an innovator and product evangelist who has been
delivering bespoke eLearning development projects for clients in a variety of
industry sectors since 1998 and which include universities, colleges, museums,
business support agencies, TV and radio.
He has previous experience of running small eLearning studios and has also been
employed as a Senior eLearning Producer for Einstein Group Plc, a digital TV company,
to establish a bespoke eLearning solutions division. In addition to carrying out
external projects he also project managed the development of several corporate
web projects and conceived, designed and piloted a new product line called ‘eCPD’
for Einstein Network which has become the platform upon which that company was
been able to diversify its £3m p.a. business from purely VHS-based training
to include digital-based training.
Kevin has undertaken post-graduate research into the eLearning development process,
holds a B.Sc in Disaster Management and has seven years of previous experience
in building services engineering.
He currently owns a collection of around 15 video games consoles, is scared of spiders and confesses to an irrational interest in the number 27. |

Bernie DeKoven
Major Fun, DeepFUN
Bernie has designed award-winning games for Ideal Toy Company, Children's Television
Workshop, CBS Software and Mattel Toys. In his book, The Well Played Game (Doubleday),
he voiced a philosophy of healthy competition that
formed the core teachings of the New Games Foundation. In his most recent book,
Junkyard Sports, (in press, Human Kinetics), Bernie illustrates an innovative
approach to family and community recreation. Bernie currently teaches at the Esalen

Jennifer Hofman
InSync Training
Jennifer is the principal eLearning consultant at InSync Training, a consulting
firm that specializes in the design and delivery of synchronous eLearning. In
the field since 1997, she has experience using all of the major synchronous delivery
platforms.
Jennifer is the author of The Synchronous Trainer's Survival Guide: Facilitating
Successful Live and Online Courses, Meetings and Events (Pfeiffer, 2003), and
Live and Online! Tips, Techniques, and Ready-To-Use Activities for the Virtual
Classroom (Pfeiffer, 2004.) Jennifer moderates InSync Center, an online community
for synchronous training professionals.

Marie Jasinski
Director, Design Planet
Marie Jasinski, a Psychologist, is part of an emerging international network of
educators, researchers and performance improvement technologists.
Marie is recognized across the Australian vocational education and training sector
for her creativity, innovation and leadership in the field of flexible learning
and new learning technologies. Since 1992, she has been a key player in a number
of Australian National Training Authority elearning projects and has experience
at strategic and operational levels in change management, professional development,
resource development, program delivery and evaluation.
Her particular interests are the creative use of simple technologies, open source
tools, reusable designs and all things related to chaos and complexity. |

Doug Nelson
President & CEO, Kinection
Doug Nelson has built his career on a passion for teaching and a flair for integrating
technology and learning. Since graduating from Yale University, he has taught
at the kindergarten, university, and corporate executive levels. He spent five
years with Apple Computer managing educational market development and then online
services in Asia, and ran an educational software startup in Japan. In 2000 he
founded the eLearning company Kinection, which designs and develops learning games
and simulations for corporate, government, and non-profit clients. He started
his electronic gaming career with the original Pong (he now favors the PS2 and
Gameboy Advance). |

For the past four decades, Thiagi has been making a living by designing and delivering
training games and activities. In 1968, he designed his first computer game using
punched tape and stolen access to time-share mainframe. Today, he focuses on cheap
(but not tacky) training games and activities for asynchronous and synchronous
