  Steve Mezak
CEO, Accelerance, Inc.


Steve Mezak is a veteran Silicon Valley software development entrepreneur with a long and strong track record in successful distributed software development, including outsourcing. Leveraging 25 years of computer system development, Steve founded multiple software startups and had very successful exits for two. He founded Accelerance to share his expertise in successfully integrating in-house and outsourced development teams (both on and offshore) for dramatic cost and time savings.
 
        
 
  Hamid Nouri
President, Virtual Sourcing Group, Inc.


Mr. Nouri has over 20 years of experience in information technology (IT) management consulting, IT leadership, technology sales and marketing, and systems integration. He has particular expertise in business and IT strategic planning, Strategic Sourcing, IT and business alignment, IT architecture planning, IT project portfolio rationalization, information security planning and audit, infrastructure deployment and optimization, and IT program and project management and oversight. Most recently he was the group vice president responsible for the worldwide client services organization, and the western region of IT management consulting at Gartner Group. He spent seven years at Gartner, and in his last position led the development of Gartner’s Balanced Scorecard and Performance Management System as well as the reengineering efforts for global client services. Prior to Gartner, he held the position of the executive director of distributed systems and strategic planning at Countrywide Funding, the nation’s largest independent mortgage banker, where he was responsible for operations, support and technology planning in the distributed systems environment
 
       
 
  Bill Price,
Founder, President, Driva Solutions, LLC


Bill Price founded Driva Solutions, LLC in September 2001 to provide strategic consulting and business development advisory services to the contact center industry in the US, Europe, and Japan, and to selected software developers and service providers to the industry.

Bill Price joined Amazon.com in May 1999 as its first Vice President of Global Customer Service. He was responsible for all customer service activities including managing the company’s contact centers in the US, Europe, Japan, and India handling the company’s customer contacts across the 160+ countries in which its customers reside, and co-led the company’s pioneering web-based customer self-service initiatives.

Bill joined Amazon.com with more than 20 years of experience in customer care and services management, starting at McKinsey & Company, one of the leading international management consultancies, in its San Francisco and Stockholm offices. From 1986 until its purchase by MCI in 1991 Bill was Chief Operating Officer and CFO with ACP, a pioneer in automated voice response services, which became MCI’s Enhanced Voice Services (EVS) division. After integrating EVS into MCI Business Markets, Bill created MCI’s Call Center Services (CCS) division, growing it into a global customer care outsourcing, automation, and consulting operation; he then folded EVS’s sales back into CCS, building a $600 million profitable integrated business unit.

Bill is on the editorial advisory board of CC News, is a frequent keynote speaker at industry conferences in Asia, Europe, and the United States, has been an Adjunct Professor of e-Commerce at Marshall University, serves on the Strategic Management Society’s Strategic Process Interest Group, is on the Technical Advisory Board of several leading ASP and CRM software firms, and was named Call Center Pioneer of the Year in 1997 by Call Center Magazine editors in their first annual award presentation.

He received his BA in Economic Geography from Dartmouth College in 1972 and his MBA from Stanford University in 1979. From 1972-1977 Bill served as a line officer in the US Navy.
 
       
 
  Usha Sekhar

Usha has over 18 years of experience in sourcing and managing outsourcing deals for global companies. Usha is helping to facilitate a growing trend in global outsourcing. Usha began her career as a Software and Systems Consultant at IBM in the US. Throughout her time at IBM she helped manage the outsourcing and management of a variety of systems including, financials, ERP and customer support centers. Prior to joining neoIT, Usha pioneered the use of Web technology solutions in the non-profit sector at the Center for Science and Environment. At neoIT, she leads the program management practice, a pioneering discipline for the offshoring industry. Usha has addressed numerous global conferences on best practices in strategic sourcing, business process outsourcing and offshore sourcing.

Usha is a gold medalist from the Birla Institute of Technology, Pilani, Rajasthan with M.Tech in Computer Science and MSc, in Mathematics. She started her career with IBM, USA as a Software and Systems Consultant and worked in many areas like financials, ERP, customer support centers etc. She has had extensive training and experience in the IBM applications for the manufacturing, distribution and construction industry sectors. She has also worked in the software industry in India with several organizations. Prior to joining neoIT, Usha was with the Center for Science and Environment pioneering the use of web technology solutions in the nonprofit sector. She has strong communication skills, analytical thinking, the ability to consider multiple perspectives and a multicultural experience.
 
       
 
  Rusty Weston

Rusty Weston is editor for Managing Offshore. Weston's background blends journalism and research in the fluid world of Information Technology. A 20 year veteran journalist, Weston also directs InformationWeek magazine's editorial studies, including the InformationWeek 500, Optimize Executive Reports and the nation's largest IT compensation study, among other products. Weston began fielding global studies in 1999, including the Global Information Security survey, one of the largest of its kind.

In an online survey of 612 IT professionals worldwide (most of which are decision-makers), 72 percent of participants revealed they are outsourcing several IT functions, with 14 percent outsourcing 50 percent or more of their IT functions.
