The Creating Aging-Friendly Communities online conference was held February/March 2008 and brought together top experts in aging and community development with individuals and organizations working to make their communities more aging-friendly.

Cities and towns throughout the United States are aging rapidly, with the senior population due to double in the next 25 years; yet, most communities are ill-prepared. Creating Aging-Friendly Communities is a unique online resource focusing on proven strategies for helping communities respond effectively to the aging of their populations.

The Creating Aging-Friendly Communities CoP (Community of Practice) is now open for registration. The CoP is designed to provide online technical assistance to support individuals, organizations and communities as they work to make their communities more aging-friendly. The CoP will be an ongoing online program that runs from May through November 2008.
